- Withheld U.S. funds from foreign medical facilities that perform abortions.

- Extended the Americans with Disabilities Act.

 - Pres. Bush signed a repeal of workplace safety regulations issued late in the  Clinton administration. The regulations were aimed at preventing carpal tunnel syndrome, tendinitis and other health problems associated with repetitive motion. Pres Bush said the rules would have been overwhelmingly costly for business and has asked the labor secretary to devise a cheaper way.
